Its Master of Science in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership is a full-time course of study, focusing on core areas such as financial management, program design and strategic planning. Each student is assigned a mentor who is an executive in the nonprofit sector.

THE REFUGEE INITIATIVES PROJECT at Penn's Solomon Asch Center for Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict has a director (a native of Spain) who has collaborated with local and international NGOs for over a decade, formulating programs for different funding agencies and implementing psychosocial and community programs with survivors of violence in the Balkans, Magreb, West Africa, Latin America and Sri Lanka.

PHILADELPHIA'S YOUNG NONPROFIT LEADERS brings together people working for and with nonprofits, people looking for work with nonprofits, and people who are interested in the work done by nonprofits. It is a joint project of Action Without Borders-Idealist.org and The Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University.
COMMUNITY ACCOUNTANTS provides accounting-related services through volunteers to help nonprofit organizations become self-sufficient. CA trains nonprofits to maintain their own financial records and reports accurately. CA is a nonprofit funded entirely by foundations, corporations, and individual donations.
